The mountain bike itinerary begins from the southern side of the Monte Tezio at the level of the Tiber river with two possibilities: either ride around the mountain along the ring or towards the eastern or western side. Since the trail is as a matter of fact a loop, it allows to reach the same point from where we will start a new soft climb towards the hills that host our destination. The Tomb of the Faggeto is an extroardinary example of funerary architecture of the Etruscan age, completely intact and of free access. The small size does not change its charm, in particular the big stone block used as door can be easily opened and closed, despite the time, as a proof of the engineering capabilities of our ancestors that lived in Umbria. After the dutiful visit we will get back on our path and tackle the same short descending connecting road that will be really amusing thanks also to the natural humps that allow a few jumps. The way back can be a climb up the slope that is opposite the one on the way in or an easier one along the Tiber on flat land.
