The hill of Monte Pacciano is just outside the city of Perugia that offers from its top a sensational view on the historical centre of the city, on the whole Tiber Valley up to the Monte Subasio and Assisi that is on its foothills; for this reason, it is called “Posto Bello” (beautiful place). The hill is suitable to be climbed from more than one side. In our case we will start from the eastern side climbing along the hills of the outskirts until reaching Valbiancara where we enter the Park of Monte Pacciano and of the Woods of Sant’Orfeto. The hill has lots of trails and therefore a wide selection of itineraries. We will tackle by mountain bike very beautiful single tracks which are fully immersed in the woods without getting out of it. Once we reach the top of the Monte Pacciano again, from where you can enjoy the stunning views on the Umbrian panorama through the brooms, we will get back to the starting point through other funny descents on gravel or path.
