For this itinerary the starting point is in the area around Montelabate, an Umbrian touristic destination famous for the ancient Benedictine Abbey that looks out on the hills of the Tiber Valley. We start climbing passing right next to the bottom of this evocative abbey taking the unpaved road known as “La Romana”, a climb without extreme difference in height, but continuous and 3,5km long that represents one of the trails where the bikers of the area of Perugia are most competive. Once we reach the top, we deviate to begin the first funny descent on single track that leads to the middle of the wood in the typical Umbrian vegetation, all the way up to the opposite side and then heads to Civitella Benazzone. From here we will enter the path of the “Camperi” that winds for 3,2 km through the Umbrian hills, all on single track for then taking the unpaved road again that leads to the starting point and that allows interesting additions on mule tracks and connecting paths.
